Welcome to our Class

Welcome to our first grade class. We have been teaching together for six years.  In our classroom, we focus on each others' strengths in order to enhance all of our student's learning. We work very hard to provide a positive learning environment. We believe that every student can learn and be successful.

Mrs. Griffis has been teaching for thirty-one years. Twenty-two of those years have been spent in first grade. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia College in Milledgeville and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Troy State University. She is also a trained reading recovery teacher. She enjoys spending time with her family and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.

Mrs. Ray has been teaching for six years. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Georgia Southern University. She has three-year old twins, Jackson and Olivia. She enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs.
